What is A Normal Family?
A Normal Family is a family photo puzzle made by the Revoba studio. It is free to play in the browser, with no download or sign-up. Languages: Turkish. It is currently an early build.
A puppet puzzle set in a 1980s photo studio: hide the tail, tuck away the extra arm, fit the seven-eyed grandpa into the frame and take the photo once everyone is ready. A 48-chapter family album, a daily puzzle and a challenge link to send a friend.
Six archetypes: a dad with a tail, a mum with big ears, a spring-necked child, an uncle with an extra arm, a seven-eyed grandpa and a porcelain-vase grandma on legs. You build the pose with eight props and three studio sets. Undo and restart are free; an optional 60-second timer exists. After the shot you get a before/after card and an invite link.

Tips for A Normal Family
- Place the big prop (sofa, curtain) first, then rotate the puppet to match.
- At least 94% of the face must stay visible; never hide a part by covering the face.
- When stuck, "Where do I grab?" selects the joint and shows the direction.
How are the 48 chapters of A Normal Family organised?
A Normal Family tells its story in 48 chapters, split into four collections of 12 families each. The game is in Turkish. In English, the collections read Welcome to the family, The little secrets of props, Crowded families and From another angle. The chapter book can filter families by All, Not yet shot, Prop tasks and Crowded.
Early chapters teach one secret at a time. Then the studio's eight props come in: a hat, glasses, a scarf, a cushion, a book, a plant, a bow tie and a curtain. In "A hat for grandpa" the wide brim covers grandpa's extra eyes. In "Scarf season" you shorten the child's spring neck and lay the scarf over the collar. In "Between the curtains" a movable curtain hides grandma's legs.
The crowded chapters get bigger. In "A six-person secret" the whole family is in frame. The tail, ear, third arm, extra eyes, spring neck and legs must all be hidden at once. Every chapter card carries one of three labels: Easy start, Some care or Master pose. They reflect the number of people and goals, not measured player data.
Who is the photographer in A Normal Family, and what is the 1986 studio?
A Normal Family is a family photo game set in a photo studio in 1986. The studio belongs to photographer Şipşak Nuri. His signed notes change with the first missing goal. The "Where do I grab?" button selects the joint he suggests.
Every shot goes into a keepsake book titled "AİLE ALBÜMÜ · 1986" (Family Album · 1986). Photos are numbered and kept page by page, in this browser only. On the result screen, "Show secrets" opens the photographer's copy. There the shadow of each odd relative shows through, while the pose and the result stay the same. Both versions download as a 900×1140 PNG card.
All the art is SVG drawn in code; no image generation service was used. There are three studio sets: a green wall with botanical patterns, a patterned dusty-rose wall and an arched painted landscape. Short sounds are generated in the browser. Settings include an optional 60-second challenge; if time runs out the pose is kept and you carry on in relaxed mode.
